We are rediscovering the intrinsic goodness of Life
And in doing so, we are transforming the relation to ourselves and all that lives – we are becoming active participants in the story of Being.
Currently, many of us experience our existence as fundamentally separate from the Life that animates our own bodies, emotions and minds. From this place of isolation, we experience Life as in opposition to us. This division leads us into pain, anger, fear and frustration.
However, a new story is emerging, in which we know ourselves as a part and whole of Life itself – this story is based on your deepest, heartfelt, and highly personal experience of Life’s intrinsic beauty and goodness.
Making the shift to the new Story starts with you – taking your rightful place receiving, giving and being Life.

To make the transition to the new story, we need to re-connect

We need to expand our experience of being Human
First, we need to make space to grow our personal, embodied connection to all the layers of who we are – body, mind, emotions, and Soul – opening ourselves to the inspiration that will naturally come to us when we start listening to the unfolding of our Story.
Second, we need to actively bring our expanding experience of who we are into all the relations we find ourselves in – doing so takes us out of isolation, and into a state of natural belonging.
Third, we need to act upon our growing, shared understanding of the intrinsic Value of Life to evolve the way we shape our lives – both personally and collectively.
Field of Value is aimed at facilitating the movement towards the personal and collective experience of the intrinsic goodness of Life
The isolated and separated, mostly mind-based way of being is prominent in the following words by René Descartes, a 16th century philosopher who is considered a formative voice in the emergence of modern science:
”I think, therefore I am.”
Contrast that to the experience which shines through the following words by Hafez, a 14th century Sufi mystic and poet:
“The intellect is a great fighter, but a terrible master.”
“All a sane man can ever think about is giving love, no matter what the cost.”
Additionally, from the mystical perspective, the painful, sometimes terrifying experience of our isolation from Life is the seed, the doorway to a conscious reclaiming of our fundamental interwovenness in the tapestry of existence – Hafez describes it as follows:
“Don’t surrender your loneliness so quickly. Let it cut you more deep. Let it ferment and season you as few human and even divine ingredients can. Something missing in my heart tonight has made my eyes so soft, my voice so tender, my need for God absolutely clear.”

God is an increasingly complex system of awareness and capacity to see beauty

This is fundamental interwovenness is demonstrated in the following words by Capra and Luisi in their book ‘The Systems View of Life’:
“The observation that the ‘bio-logic,’ – or the pattern of organization of a simple cell is the same as that of an entire social structure is highly nontrivial. It suggests a fundamental unity of life, and hence also the need to study and understand all living structures from such an unifying perspective.”
As ecological disasters, war, societal unrest, and raising psychological suffering strongly indicate, we are now at a point in our human evolution in which re-membering our intrinsic unity with all of Life and consequently taking full responsibility for what that realisation means for all we do in our human story, both personally and collectively, is a most essential step which possibly determines the very survival of our species.
Taking radical ownership of our Stories will alter the course of Humanity
The symbol
Field of Value represents several dynamics, represented in the logo. First, there is the outer golden circle, which contains all other parts. This refers to the wholeness of Life, in which everything is included. The smaller circle at the bottom points at the origin, the seed, containing all potential, from which all Life manifests. From this point, the other circles emerge, symbolising the desire to become – initiating an upward movement which leads to the expansion of being; symbolised by the concentric circles.
Hence, the symbol depicts two fundamental qualities of Life: being, which is related to the female quality, and becoming, which is linked to the male quality.
When those two dynamics are in balance within an individual or collective body, there is the experience of the intrinsic goodness of Life – present in both our pure, naked existence, exactly where we are, and in our actions in the world, which are aimed at a higher good.
